Connect the USB flash drive to your computer. To do so, plug it into one of your PC’s USB ports.
Double-click My Computer, or Computer (for Win7, Win 8, Win 10)
Right-click the drive letter associated with your memory device, then
Select Format from pop up menu .
(in the sample image below, we right-clicked on F:).
WARNING: Make sure you select the correct drive letter.
The formatting options you can customize are:
Capacity – this displays service information about the size of the media, it does not change.
File system – select a File system type. ( – NTFS, FAT32, exFAT ). We choose NTFS.
The allocation unit size, which is the cluster size. We don’t change it.
Volume label – is a unique name assigned to your flash drive. Type a name for the drive as it will appear in File Explorer.
Restore device defaults – use this button to change all the options in the “Format” window back to the default.
and confirm by clicking OK in the Warning box.
Now just wait until the process complete and click OK to finish.
Congratulations. Your flash card is formatted.
